What It Covers

This American Heart Association Heartsaver® First Aid course offers the flexibility of two different course paths:

Path 1: Heartsaver® Total is a comprehensive course designed for those requiring training to meet OSHA or other regulatory agency requirements.

Path 2: Heartsaver® is a simplified course that offers the flexibility to add desired topics.

The Heartsaver® Total course covers the following topics:

Scene Assessment & Safety
Medical Emergencies (asthma, allergic reactions, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, and seizures)
Injury Emergencies (bleeding, shock, wounds, spinal inquiries, broken bones, and sprains)
Environmental Emergencies (bites, stings, temperature-related injuries, and poison emergencies)

Important: This course does not include CPR AED.

Who It's For

This course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs proof of first aid training for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. This class is ideal for anyone who wants to be prepared to act in an emergency.

New and Recertifying Students

Course Details

Length: 2 - 3.5 hours

Students will receive an American Heart Association certification card, which is valid for 2 years, immediately following successful completion of the course and skill session.
