This American Heart Association Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course offers the flexibility of two different course paths:

Path 1: Heartsaver® Total is a comprehensive course designed for those requiring training to meet OSHA or other regulatory agency requirements

Path 2: Heartsaver® is a simplified course that offers the flexibility to add desired topics.

The Heartsaver® Total course covers the following topics:

  • Scene Assessment & Safety
  • Medical Emergencies (asthma, allergic reactions, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, and seizures)
  • Injury Emergencies (bleeding, shock, wounds, spinal inquiries, broken bones, and sprains)
  • Environmental Emergencies (bites, stings, temperature-related injuries, and poison emergencies)
  • Child & Infant CPR (Compressions and Breaths)
  • AED use (Automated External Defibrillator)
  • Child & Infant Relief from Choking
  • Optional: Adult CPR & Relief from Choking

This course is designed for childcare workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, coaches for children’s sports organizations, parents, grandparents, guardians, extended family, and babysitters. 

New and Recertifying Students

Important: This class is not intended for healthcare providers.

Please take our BLS Provider course if you are in the healthcare field.

Length: 2.5 - 3.5 hours

Students will receive an American Heart Association certification card, which is valid for 2 years, immediately following successful completion of the course and skill session.
